Overview
Lesson plans beginning in the round pen—the horse’s first classroom.
| |||||
|
Description
In the round pen, you can safely develop control, which results in the horse's performance, trust and respect the very things we all want most. We'll take you from first touching the horse, through the first ride in the round pen.
Once on the trail we'll solve riding problems, from shying, rearing and kicking other horses to showing how a snaffle bit helps you get better performance.
Next, we'll thoroughly cover trailer loading, including what to do if you lesson does not go according to plan. Four hours of training can mean a lifetime of safe trailering. Then we're out of classroom and into the real world, as two owners one novice and one world champion share putting theory into practice.
John Lyons is a renowned teacher/trainer of horses. In clinics and symposiums over the last 20+ years, he has trained thousands of horses with his conditioned response method.
